OpEds

Having grown up in Iran, I started writing regularly for Hamshahri, Iran's most reputable newspaper, by the time I was fifteen. One day, the editor in chief called me in to tell me why my piece could not be published. "If this came out,  no one would  hear of us ever again," he said. Unfortunately this wasn't the only time I experienced censorship. Nevertheless, chasing new freedoms wherever they are to be found, I still sometimes write publicly on pressing or controversial issues.

  • "We need more Imposter Syndrome, not less" (draft)

  • “A Black student was dragged by his ankle at the Oxford Union”.

  • “Vagina-phobic monologues”.

  • “The Dawn of AI Philosophy”.      ( Turkish translation).

  • “Chau Was No Hero Either”.
