In addition to studying law and philosophy, I am a lifelong hobby engineer and a co-inventor of Collaborative AI, among other technologies.
My interest in computer science started at a young age and was the reason for me to learn English. At the age of sixteen, and before immigrating to the United States, I started teaching computer science at Iran's most prestigious private IT college, translating source material into Farsi, and writing regularly in national papers on culture and technology.
Nowadays, given my philosophical and legal training, I naturally think often about the philosophy and ethics of computer technologies, especially those I help to develop. When thinking about such questions, I try to focus on those that genuinely engage with specific technologies rather than merely featuring them in the abstract. I discuss some such questions here.
For an overview of my current research agenda at the intersection of value theory and the ethics of computing, you can click here.
In my own inventions, I try to implement normative behavior in multi agent AI contexts, such as recognition, trust, and interdependence. Below is a list of my inventions that have been patented or are patent pending.
